Dr. Milne

Dr. Milne is a Florida licensed psychologist with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field in both therapy and academia as a graduate and undergraduate professor. She is a clinical neuropsychologist with specialized training in both health and neuropsychology. She has a doctorate in clinical psychology with an emphasis in health psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology and a master's in clinical psychology and marriage and family.

Dr. Milne sees adults and older adults for biofeedback therapy. She performs neuropsychological evaluations on adolescents and adults. She also conducts pre-surgical psychological evaluations for bariatric surgery and pain stimulator trials for adults. She specializes in chronic pain, chronic illness, complex medical conditions, traumatic brain injury, cognitive impairment, and anxiety disorders. In addition, as the adult daughter of a Veteran, she has a special interest in working with Veterans and their families and has been a VA Community Care provider since 2015.

Dr. Milne works closely with her patients to provide them with the support and encouragement they need to reach their goals. She is a strong believer in the mind-body connection and approaches her patients from a biopsychosocial model incorporating the biological/medical, psychological, and social aspects of their lives into treatment. She acknowledges the impact of Adverse Childhood Experience (ACEs) and the somatic presentations of mental health conditions such as depression, PTSD, and anxiety. She uses cognitive behavioral therapies, biofeedback, and mindfulness-based therapies to help her patients not only make the changes they desire to live a fulfilling life but also to gain understanding of the psychological factors that are often involved in Psychophysiological Disorders (PPD).

Dr. Milne completed her residency in neuropsychology at Riverside Psychiatric Medical Group in Riverside, California. She completed an internship in neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology at Northridge Hospital in Northridge California and a neurodiagnostic practicum at Coastline Community College's Acquired Brain Injury Program in California. She also has a certificate in comprehension nutrition. She is double board certified and a Fellow in Biofeedback and an Associate Fellow in HRV Biofeedback through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA)(B5747) (H5747). Dr. Milne is further Certified in Pain Management through the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress (AAETS) in collaboration with the National Center for Crisis Management.
